Today’s Prayer

Joy overflows the heart abiding in Christ. The well of salvation never runs dry. The path of life is marked by the footprints of a living Savior. In all I do and all I say, let my words honor the one who created me and saved me for Himself. Anoint the actions of my hands so that Your Name is glorified, God. No matter the place, enable me to sense Your presence. No matter the people, equip me to share Your love. When I sleep, instruct me in visions of the night. Waste not a moment of this existence, Lord. The object of my soul’s desire is the renown of my King. Improve my love. Use my service for Kingdom purpose. You are in heaven and I am on earth. Let my prayers reach You as incense with fragrant reverence. There are many failings I could boast of, but in Christ I have been given opportunities that go beyond my abilities. Only You can make me something I am not, Lord. Though a rebel, You have made me a child. Though a sinner, You have made me a saint. Though a person headed for destruction, I am now on the path of life. Let me continually abide in You, Lord. Truly, there is no joy outside the grip of Your nail-scarred hands. Under the blessed assurance of truth set down in Galatians 6:13-15 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

For even those who are circumcised do not themselves keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh. But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For neither circumcision counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.
Galatians 6:13-15, ESV
