You are God alone, high and exalted. The fullness of life is Yours to impart. The treasure of darkness is Your mystery to reveal. If I am to be, let me be Yours, Jesus. The roots of my faith reach for the soil of salvation. The water of gospel truth nourishes the planting of Your Word so that I can bear much fruit. You are the Everlasting One. The Great I Am. There is nothing hidden from You. Secrets are open wide because Your eyes penetrate the shadows of my heart. Increase the depth of my love, Lord God. Stimulate the vibration of faith. I am merely a branch that clings to You. I wish myself to be better tomorrow than I am today. For Your Name’s sake, keep transforming me. Nothing but Your own goodness makes me worthy of divine consideration. My soul finds shelter in Your presence. My heart rests in Your promises. My strength is perfected in weakness when I lean more fully on You. With my soul turned away from death, I gaze delightedly on the horizon of eternity. With my sins washed away, I bask in the glow of grace. With love everlasting to guide me, I need not fear tomorrow. Keep delivering me, Lord God Almighty. I am Yours alone. Under the blessed assurance of the Word in Psalm 75:1-5 and the authority of Christ, I come to the altar in prayer.
