Thank You, my Father in heaven, for providing the way back to You even when I have traveled far down the dark road of my own choosing. I do not want to be one who is offered the Kingdom of God but willfully rejects it because I want to find my own way. Truly Lord, You have made great provision for my soul. The cross is the full supply of everything needed in order to be saved. How could I not turn around and come at Your heart’s beckoning? The starving soul finds nutrients in Your Word. The empty heart finds fulfillment in Your promises. The helpless take refuge in Your grace. Though I was perishing, You reached out to save me. Though I rebelled against Your truth, Your mercy extends forgiveness. The enmity between us is pacified by Your peace. The guilty is justified and the redeemed sanctified. You have prepared my soul through the undeserved provision of grace and glory to Your Name. My unworthy soul could not hope for more than all You have given me. My weary heart requires nothing that has not been offered from the abundance of my Savior. Thank You, my Father in heaven, for receiving all who come to You by way of Christ Jesus. The invitation is to all without exception – the weary, the burdened, the thirsty, the hungry, the poor, the neglected, the unworthy, or the stained. There is no better way than Your way, King Jesus. Under the mighty power of the Word set down in John 14:6-7 and the authority of Christ, my Savior I bow down in humble prayer.
Jesus said, “I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him. You’ve even seen him!”
John 14:6-7, MSG
