Beautiful Savior, let Your holiness wash over the essence of Your church. Fully cleanse Your servants in the righteousness of Christ that will bring ultimate healing to a hurting world. Touch the embers of faith until a blazing fire of zeal for the Lord God Almighty burns with the fierce truth proclaimed from Your Word. A truth that dulled hearts need to hear. Unstop deaf ears, Lord, as You use the church in all ways big and small to speak and show the beauty of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus, envelop Your sweet children in such all-encompassing love that fear evaporates as the clouds of anxiety and uncertainty melt away. May the sparkling condensation of grace and the morning dew of mercy greet each heart with every sunrise because the Son has truly risen and it is the Good News we are commissioned to share. Under the blessed word in Colossians 1:15-18 and the authority of Christ Jesus, these prayers are set before You, God.
We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God’s original purpose in everything created. For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment. And when it comes to the church, he organizes and holds it together, like a head does a body.
