Grasping the hand of my wandering heart, You saved me, Lord. Showing the way to my lost soul was Your delight, Jesus. Forgive my incessant resistance. I am prone to forget all the wonderful things You have done. I am not always aware of the amazing things You are still doing. In the greatness of Your strength, I have found a place to set down my weakness. When the gate was shut against me, You offered me faith that would unlock the entrance. The sweet influence of Your Spirit is the heavenly fragrance of promise that I inhale each morning. Keep the gates of my heart fully open. Let me not shut the avenues of love because of hard circumstances. Keep me mindful of my thoughts and actions, Lord. Abide with me in the heart-warming discourse of Your holy text. Meet me in the sacred rendezvous of prayer. Train my eyes to see what You would have me see and hear what You speak to me. Let me discover Your presence in the mundane and extraordinary. Under the blessed canopy of Your Word in Isaiah 43:18-19 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
“Do not remember the past events,
pay no attention to things of old.
Look, I am about to do something new;
even now it is coming. Do you not see it?”
Isaiah 43:18-19, HCSB
