Keep me standing in the power of Your grace, Lord God Almighty. Let the way of Your holiness light the path of life stretched out before me. As I walk, let me follow the footprints of divine love. Your Word is the canopy I want to sit under. Your truth is the water I want to immerse myself in. Keep me mindful of the many blessings You have shown me. Give me enough Lord, not too much nor too little. I look to Your providence in all things. Impart Your peace to my steadied thoughts. Guard me from folly or vanity in the things my mind dwells on. I look to You for confirmation about who You are and who I am in You. Keep me far from faulty definitions that only harm my vision of the eternal horizon. Teach me which treasures to focus upon, not the things of this world but the things belonging to heaven. Take the conviction of the Spirit swiftly from head to heart. Lord, root me in You. Without the vine, the branch will surely wither. Under the steadiness of truth in Proverbs 30:7-9 and the authority of Christ, I come before the altar in prayer.
Two things I ask of You;
deny them not to me before I die:
Remove far from me falsehood and lying;
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with the food that is needful for me,
lest I be full and deny You
and say, “Who is the Lord?”
or lest I be poor and steal
and profane the Name of my God.
