Distinguish me from the world, Lord God, by sanctifying my pursuits. Align my heart to Your glorious will. Keep me from becoming thoughtless. Instead, let my thoughts center completely and totally on You. Only then will I be able to sift through the miry contents of deceit and treachery. When pleasure tempts me to folly, remind me that there is far more joy in the Lord than there is to be found in anything this world offers. Only Your staff can expertly guide me along the narrow path. Truly, pride is a slippery slope. Its splendor arouses all manner of defensiveness. Grant me an extra portion of humility to douse those roaring flames. Set my eyes upon the eternal beauty of Your Kingdom. May all other light pale in comparison to the stunning radiance of love from the cross. Your glories are endless, Lord. Your magnificence astounds. Cloak me in a holiness that can only be described as belonging to You. Under the magnificent beauty of the Word in Psalm 118:27 and the authority of Christ I bow before You in heartfelt prayer.
