Lord, I transfer my dependence upon You alone because You are my One and only Savior. Though my friend might speak wisdom, it is Your counsel that has the final say in my life. Keep me mindful of checking my actions with You before executing anything in Your Name. Your love is the overflowing fountain that satisfies my thirst. May You never be displeased with the meditations of my heart. Sanctify me in the Spirit, Lord. I delight in prayer rendezvous with You. Make this regular habit the highlight of my day. Show me the blessing of abiding in You. There is no end to the depths of Your heart, Lord. Why would I want to commune with this world when the divine is always willing? Only in Your Word can I find solace from the aches of living. Let me not even consider fellowship with other believers above my secret time with You in the closet. I abhor the thought of grieving Your heart. In the mystery of abiding in You, there are blessings to be found. Let me enjoy this constant fellowship with the divine. Use the trials for the purpose of weaning my heart away from seeking comfort in this world. Draw my gaze to You and only You. I long to be near You for comfort that is inexplicable. Your love is protective and transforming, Lord. May I not squander the blessing You have showered upon me. Under the blessed example in 1 Kings 22:4-5 and the authority of Christ I pray.

 So he asked Jehoshaphat, “Will you go with me to fight against Ramoth Gilead?”
