Lord, there is no comfort other than that obtained by the nearness of Your presence. If only my awareness was not so veiled by the anxiety of daily living. How easily distracted a single soul can become by the things that are passing away. Let me find consolation in the Word of Your promises. Seeking You where You are found is the privilege of every believer in Christ. Your faithfulness is proven, my Lord and Savior. Your steadfast love is the cornerstone of my faith. Love that conquers fear and vanquished death. Love that penetrates the veil of anxiety so that the eyes of faith are opened to the glory of God. What blessing springs forth when divine sight is given. The horizon of eternity is a blazing expanse of grace and mercy that dazzles the soul. Open the eyes of my heart to see the fullness of Your beauty and grace. There is no other vision I desire other than the sight granted to me by faith. Under the blessed assurance of Your Holy Word in 2 Corinthians 5:6-7 and the authority of Christ, I bow in adoring prayer.

So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight.
