Keep me with unhesitating fervency, Lord God. There is no other way to goodness than to follow the Shepherd. Only You have the right to lead me to places that will serve the Kingdom. I am mindful of who I belong to. My rights have been graciously yielded to the One who redeemed me with blood. Show me the footsteps I must walk in. Grant me the power of obedience through the Spirit. I am Your purchased possession. Forgive any questions that obstruct the full completion of Your will. When my submission is too slow in coming, grant me a gentle nudge in the right direction. Though I may not understand the path, I am reminded how trustworthy the path-maker is. Your presence is my security. Your Word is my refuge. When the path becomes treacherous or I stumble in ineptitude, it is then that You carry me. How glorious is the divine companion that marks the way to eternal light. Work out Your purpose and uphold Your divine cause, Lord. Whether it requires prosperity or adversity, blessing or trial, popularity or persecution, finish Your good work in my life. Wherever You go, let me be there too. Under the tremendous majesty of Your Word in Romans 6:16-17 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

 Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed.
