Grant me a holy vision that filters life circumstances through an eternal perspective, Holy Spirit of the living God. Aid me in correct interpretation that brings glory to Your Name. Only Your divine hand can make me flourish when all around me is dry and barren. Your providence is my sustenance, Lord. Even when my faith is hidden and obscure, unobserved and secreted, let it not grow brittle or hard. Conceal my heart from gazing upon carnal delights that give the illusion of fulfillment when actually taking away that which You have planted. Your presence is my tranquil security, Lord Jesus. Keep my valley still and calm when the tempest swirls around me. The winds of my circumstances can shake the debris in my soul to the point that my view of You is obscured. Clarify my sight through Your truth, Lord God. Give me a filter that is significantly aligned to Your promises. Make the life I live a token of Your triumph in salvation. Under the blessed wonder of Your Word in Psalm 51:11-12 and the authority of Christ, I come to the altar in prayer.

Do not cast me from Your presence
    or take Your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation
    and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
