Today’s Prayer

My admiration of You grows stronger each day, Lord God. Let me continually be aware of the magnificence of Your attributes. My adoration multiplies because of Your goodness. Illustrate Your love through the way I live and the words I speak. Cultivate my mind with authenticity and meekness. I long to possess the fruitfulness of the Spirit. I have tasted and seen Your goodness. Let love, peace, joy, patience, kindness, and self-control ripen within me. When my heart becomes dry and my soul garden polluted with weeds of deceit, water me in the truth of Your Word. Bring me to dwell in the eternal season that belongs to those called by Your Name. I cling to the vine so that my branch can produce foliage only possible by abiding in Christ. Though I am weak and feeble, I find strength in You. Though I am poor and needy, I have been granted the enormous wealth of a beautiful inheritance. Keep me mindful of all that I have been given so that I am not perpetually mulling over the things I think I have been deprived of. With great delight, I sit beneath the shadow of Your wings, anticipating the fullness of Your joy forevermore. Under the Word of God set down in John 15:1-2 and the authority of my Savior, Jesus, I humbly pray.

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.”
John 15:1-2, NIV
