How sweet are the reflections of old age that are accompanied by wisdom. Let my heart look forward to celestial horizons with anticipation, not foreboding. Because of the infinite counsel and guidance You provide me, Lord, I do not lose heart. Quicken my spirit as I near the shores of immortality, Lord God. Holding the hand of my Savior, fewer waves are able to ruffle the shores of my heart. Jesus, You are the Prince of Peace. By Your Spirit’s influence, quiet reigns in my soul. Lead me through the deep, still waters of Your Word. Blow celestial gales of wisdom from Your promises. Apply truth to my daily routine and ordinary interactions. Through You, Jesus, hope arises. Through You, dread is transformed into anticipation. Through You, my soul is satisfied. Prepare my soul for heavenly assignments. Produce ripe fruit for Kingdom glory. Let not the shadows fall because I am enveloped forever in the light of Christ. Under the blessed influence of the Word in Psalm 90:12 and the authority of Christ, I come to the altar in prayer.

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
