Great God of my strength, be nearer to me than ever before. May the majesty of Your fulfilling love overshadow any sorrow of the soul. Let the abundance of Your grace cascade like an avalanche into the moments of my days. Let the beauty of Your truth eclipse any afflictions of the heart that distract and weigh me down. Put me in the center of Your protective arms when I suffer from an emotional tornado that blows me off course. Keep me steady, Lord, as You turn my face toward You, comforting me with the tender touch of eternal love and ministering to me with the whispers of assurance only found in Your promises. Through the aches of my heart, I strain to hear the confident comfort of Your tender voice. Pull me into Your embrace, my Savior, because I need You now. Under the promise of Jeremiah 7:23 and the blessed authority of Christ Jesus, I lift up my heart in prayer to You, Father.
