How blessed are the ones whose intercession is through Christ. My heart thrums with gratitude for the advocate I have been given in my Savior. You and you alone have rendered my sin impotent, Lord God Almighty. My holy interest in Kingdom affairs cannot be destroyed. With great joy, I come to the well of salvation to drink from the divine waters of grace. Your Name is sweetened by praise. Your glory is the design of my heart desires. Only my Savior has authority to plead on my behalf because He is the anointed, advocating priest of His people. My soul soars as I ponder the astonishing wonder of Your choosing. I lay my trouble at Your feet, Lord God, knowing that You alone have the authority to pick it up. Fit me for the work You have planned for me to do. Hold my soul in the tender fold of Your pleading words filled with tenderness on my behalf. Let me never take for granted the blessing of Your intercessory work, my Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Under the canopy of Your Word in 1 John 2:1-3 and the authority of Christ, I come to the altar in prayer.
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. And by this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments.
