With its immersive world-building, Regan Allen’s Seer of the Wildwood transports readers to a tantalizing forest, where a thrilling and unconventional romance takes center stage. Dropped into the story that takes off at a ferocious pace, you can’t help but keep turning pages.
A young woman with the ability to see the future struggles to determine if her ability is a gift or a curse. The rescue that turns into a kidnapping intensifies the romantic tension, leaving the fate of Marya and Tam’s relationship uncertain and exciting all the way to the end.
Regan Allen’s richly descriptive writing winds a path through the narrative that brings the sights, smells, and fantasy creatures to life with a brilliant imagination. Her characters are delightfully crafted with personal agendas that collide as the adventure unfolds. Differences in culture and perspectives regarding supernatural gifts shape the main characters in unique ways directly impacting the plot.
The camouflaged twists in the plot are so well placed throughout the story that the overarching narrative remains enjoyably unpredictable. For a nice fantasy, read this would be a good book to consider. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this novel, which I received from the author.
