As unpleasant as trials can be, their salutary lessons are invaluable to my soul. Lord, teach me in ways that ultimately shape me into the person You destined me to become. Your unconstrained grace is as much of a favor as those blessings constrained by prayer. Let me come to You pleading and You will hear my heart. Let me bring my barest confession, my inventory of desire, and my catalogue of necessity because I know You listen. Let me come before You ready to reveal my vulnerability and uncover the hidden insecurities that hold me back. Without You, I am empty Lord God. Let me constantly depend on Your provision and not my own faulty resources. I wish to be poor in selfishness while becoming wealthy in Your Spirit. Make my adoration true and my devotion sincere. I know the benefits to my soul can only come from being in communion with You. Only Your presence can gird the weakness that plagues me. Your divine strength is more than favor, it is love fully expressed. Whatever folly I present to You is turned into wisdom through Your counsel. Trials in their barest state are nothing to fear. They are teachers, shaping tools held in the hand of my divine master and creator. To You be the glory, God. Under the magnificence of Your Word in Proverbs 21:21 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
