I am desperate to know You, Jesus. The deepest yearning of my heart is to gain knowledge that manifests in wisdom. I gladly come out from behind the shield of religion to stand exposed in a true relationship with You. Reveal the depths of Your heart through Your Word. Touch my mind with divine thoughts that prompt meditation. Etch truth in the fiber of my being so that I can thwart deceit when it sneaks up on me. I long for personal, intimate knowledge of who You are. Give me solid awareness not vague imaginings of Your presence. Your divine nature is a light on the dark horizon. Reveal to me the totality of Your attributes. How I desire to know the height, the depth, the width of Your affection. Truly, Your love surpasses knowledge and is loftier than emotions alone. Satisfy me with understanding but captivate me with mystery. I never want to cease seeking to know You more. There is no end to the unsearchable riches of Christ. I climb to the summit of truth only to look upon another peek of exciting possibility. Elevate me to a spiritual awareness that becomes my motivation for glorifying You. Let Your Spirit have Your way in me. Only You can bear me up in the midst of trial. Temper my sorrows, Lord, because I desperately need to know You more. Under the truth of Romans 8:38-39 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
