Lord, Your wisdom blesses me. Give me understanding when the mysteries of life leave me utterly perplexed. There is no worldly gain that is worth spiritual ignorance. My communion with You is more precious than priceless gems. I ask not for a long life, only for days enough to fulfill Your purpose and carry out Your tasks. Establish me on a foundation of truth that is not easily broken. Discretion is sorely lacking in this world. Keep me on the straight and narrow path. Guided by Your Spirit, my way will be secure. My soul will not stumble when I hold tightly to the hand of my Savior. Sweeten my sleep with dreams of You and let sudden terror be a thing of the past. You are my confidence. Anything good comes from You, Lord. Lead me around the snares set by the enemy. Your footsteps are the only thing I need to follow. Do not withhold Your Spirit from me. I know You give favor to the humble. Blessed be the Name of the Lord beneath whose canopy I find shelter. Under the Word of the Lord in Psalm 139:23-24 and the authority of Christ, I come to the altar in prayer.

Search me, God, and know my heart.
