There is no other refuge besides You, Lord God. When the storms of life are raging, You provide the calm my soul needs. When temptation pursues me with relentless intentions, I am reminded that You have provided a way out. I need only search for it along the path littered with the rubble of my weaknesses. My soul is torn apart by desires I know better than to indulge. Do not let me be ripped to pieces before deliverance comes. Whatever wrong can be credited to my account, Your grace covers the debt. Equip me to make right the wrongs I have inflicted. Let me not take offense that plunders friendship until it is dried up like discarded fruit. Make my soul’s pursuit a righteousness that only comes from You. Trample my selfishness and turn my ambition to dust. It is Your glory alone that matters. I am thankful for Your triumphant mercy. I take refuge beneath Your canopy of grace. Under the blessing of Your Word in Psalm 62:7-8 and the authority of Christ, I come to You in prayer.

My salvation and my honor is with God.
    The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
Trust in Him at all times, you people.
    Pour out your heart before Him.
    God is a refuge for us.
