My soul belongs to You, my Creator and Lord. Let Your Almighty hand move the current in the sea of life circumstances affecting me. My heart is fully committed to Your ways. The fullness of Your Spirit sanctifies and supports me even in my weakness. With patience, I anticipate eternal life. Bring Your divine shield against the terror of brokenness. Let me find purpose in all that You allow. Veil me against the allure of pleasure so that its poison does not infect the goodness Your presence imparts. Guide me in the light of truth and the hope of Scripture. Accept the praise and worship I bring to You in prayer. There are many dark paths snaking across the terrain of this world, but let me rejoice that the destiny You have in store for me leads to the dawn of an everlasting day. Your most mysterious plans are often couched in the perplexing trials You allow. Reveal to me the wisdom and opportunity in such circumstances as only Your Spirit can do. I bow before Your sovereignty, Lord. Under the might and power of the Word in 1 Timothy 6:12-16 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in His testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which He will display at the proper time—He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
