I leave the distant view and come near to Your face, Lord. Upon Your heart I rest my head. Advance me in holiness. Instruct me in love. Let my faith be stronger and my hope illuminate the path. You are my Savior. What have I to fear from man? Draw me to the depths of sweet communion with You, Lord God. Only Your majesty rises like the sun on the horizon of my soul. Your inheritance is eternity. Your promise is trustworthy. My delightful preoccupation is dwelling on Your truth. Etch the beauty of all that You are deep in the tablet of my being. Your love has charmed me with salvation. With eyes focused on You, I keep my gaze turned upward while my feet tread the path of life You marked out for those called by Your great Name. Under the canopy of truth in Your Word set down in Psalm 29:3-4 and the authority of Christ, I come to the mountain in prayer.
The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the Lord thunders over the mighty waters.
The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is majestic.
Psalm 29:3-4, ESV
