God who provides, our merciful Savior who rescues, may I willingly surrender the rebellious inclinations of my soul into Your chasm of grace. I plea for Your protection as I struggle in vain to recognize the invisible enemy of my eternal soul. May the battle-plan forming in my heart align with Your perfect will. May the weariness of my bones be strengthened in the power of Your Spirit. Teach me to fight while leading me into battle behind my shield of faith. My eyes are fixed upon You, commander and chief of my soul! Under the plan of Ephesians 6:10-13 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I offer up these prayers to You, Lord God.

Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
