Almighty God, loving Father in heaven, keep me beneath the safe, all-encompassing protection of Your authority available to me through faith in Jesus Christ as the hailstones of confusion and disruption assail my battered heart. Entice me toward hope as I trust in Your promises even when I cannot see them come to pass in my preferred timing. Whatsoever You have ordained for me to learn through stormy trials, keep my soul from becoming drenched in despair as I immerse myself in Your Holy Word. When I feel anxious, frustrated or worried, my heart will whisper to my soul: “Jesus, I trust You to lead me right now.” Under the imagery of promise in Luke 8:24 and the authority of Christ, I offer these prayers.

 They came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, “Master, master, we are dying!” He awoke, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and it was calm.
