Precious Prince of peace, holy is Your great Name. You are the beginning and the end; the author and completer of my story. As I embark upon another chapter, a new season, a fresh start, I ask You to infuse me with Your Spirit so I can be a vessel of Your perfect will. Guide and direct my steps, Lord, so I can fight the fight of faith with all endurance and joy-filled patience. Keep my eyes fixed upon the horizon of eternity so that I do not lose my footing nor stray from my divinely appointed destiny. Shield me from the perpetual attacks of the devourer so I am not distracted from Your leading. I gladly give You access to my weakest aspects. Fill my loneliness with Your holiness. Fill my weariness with Your strength. Fill my woundedness with Your healing. Fill my selfishness with Your grace. I am a person full of holes, Lord, but ever desiring to be complete in You. Forgive me for attempting to fill those holes with temporary covers that promise to ease the ache but which only build a deeper cavity in my soul. I gladly come to You, exposed and vulnerable, Lord, for I know that I am safe in the constructs of Your love. Under the blessedness of Psalm 81:10 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I set these prayers upon Your altar, O great and mighty King.
