Father in heaven, my perfect heart keeper, pull Your beloved into Your presence for I am in desperate need of You. Assure me of my value because I am Your child. Help my roaring emotions bow to Your peace as I trust You to write the story of this life according to Your perfect will. May my breaths release the toxins caused by stress. May my thoughts not wander into the territory of “what if” for that is Your territory, Jesus. The sacred space in which only You have dominion. Forgive me for thinking I can control what is out of my control. Keep me focused on You and Your love in the midst of life’s unexpected storms. Remind me constantly of Your authority to calm the wind and the waves so that I do not let Your soothing voice be drowned out by my own roaring emotional responses. Let me find refuge from the storms in the promises of Your presence and love. For Your Word is true. Your presence is ever near me. Your voice is my guide. Your love is my light and Your grace is my warmth. Under the reminder of Jeremiah 31:3 and the blood of Jesus, these prayers are sent with a trusting heart, grateful that You hear me in my every distress, O God.
