Our great and marvelous God who has power to heal and power to still the storms of life, be with me in holy empowerment as You lead me through the valley of death’s shadow. Remind me that You have plans and purpose for my life far beyond what I can see. Death has lost its sting and life reigns in the spirit of those who belong to You, Jesus. Lift me to that higher place of trust, faith, and hope in You, my compassionate Savior who saves all who find refuge in Him by calling upon His Name. There is none other than You who can save me. There is no other peace besides the peace that comes in Your presence. In Your arms, I am safe. In Your love, I can live. Under the everlasting promise of 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 and the blessed authority of Christ, my holy Redeemer, I place these prayers into Your beautiful hands, O God.

“Death, where is your sting?
    Hades, where is your victory?”
 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
