Holy Father, who adores me with incorruptible love, shower Your beloved with drops of peace. I naturally gravitate toward the tornado of emotion as I deal with life’s unexpected famines. Quench the thirstiness of my soul with the living water of promises raining up through Your Word. Satisfy the deep hunger of my heart with the bread of Your presence. Gift me patience to let Your ultimate plan for my divine destiny unfold. Forgive me for my natural inclination to hurry through life, Lord. Increase my trust while I wait upon You. Keep me from moving out of the waiting room until You open the right door (no matter how many times I have to read the old magazines of Your past faithfulness in order to pass the time). Under the mighty promise of Psalm 27:14 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I set these prayers at the feet of my God.
