INTERVIEW:
How long have you been writing? How many books or series have you published?
I’ve been writing for years but have just released my first novel.
What inspired you to write? How does your faith impact your writing?
I’ve had several stories rolling around in my mind for decades and dreamed of becoming an author. When the pandemic hit, I finally had the time to get serious and start writing in earnest. Being a life long creative spirit, I feel that when I create something I am simply riding God’s coattails. My faith impacts my writing on every level, not only in inspiration for my work but also in believing in God’s love for me and that he has given me the privilege of convincing others of the same.
Do you have a favorite author or book? Why is that your favorite?
I dearly love “Jane Eyre” by Charlotte Bronte, but I am also completely enamored with Jessica Dotta’s “Price of Privilege” Trilogy. All of these books do not shy away from the reality of suffering and the presence of evil in the world. Though I understand the attraction, I am not a fan of stories that are tame and too safe.
What is your favorite genre to read/write?
Definitely Historical Fiction.
What do you like most about what you do? What are your biggest challenges?
Since releasing “Those Who Trespass,” my favorite thing is interacting with my readers, but before that, I love the thrill of doing research and finding all the delicious details that can bring my stories to life. I think my biggest challenge has been achieving enough credibility as a writer to justify to others, like my family, the time and effort it takes to write an entire book and launch it out into the world. As a creative, this has always been a struggle.
Do you have a favorite character in your most recent release?
I am very fond of Captain Johnathan Gresham, though his best friend, Dr. Paul Braxton is right there with him!
What are you working on now? What can we expect in the future?
My second novel is finished and will be going into final editing soon. It is another gothic mystery, though this one takes place in the Victorian era in the north of England.I hope to release it in the spring. I’m beginning the sequel to “Those Who Trespass” after the holidays.
Do you have any fun facts to mention? (what is your go-to snack when writing/reading? Daily habits…)
A cup of tea in the morning, cheese and crackers for lunch, and another cuppa (herbal) in the afternoon. My little dog, Mishka, keeps my company.
What would you like to say to readers? (What do you hope readers take-away from your book?)
I hope that my readers are entertained and deeply inspired. It would be wonderful if they found my story memorable, and are reminded that God is always with us, even in our greatest tragedies.

All she can remember is the worst thing that happened.
1818. On a remote tropical island, a woman abandoned to die beside the body of her murdered husband is discovered by Captain Johnathan Gresham of the HMS Relentless. Broken and terrified, she remembers nothing except her faith in God—and the faces of her attackers.
Haunted by his own past, Gresham takes her aboard, determined to shield her from the Admiralty’s schemes. But when powerful men seek to silence her forever—by asylum or by murder—the captain and his mysterious “lady castaway” are thrust into a dangerous game of pursuit and betrayal.
As secrets of memory and identity slowly unravel, will courage and faith be enough to survive the enemies closing in on every side?
A Regency romantic suspense of mystery, faith, and redemption—perfect for fans of Michelle Griep, Jamie Jo Wright, Abigail Wilson, and Sarah M. Eden.
