Today’s Prayer 12/4

My sweet and tender Savior, enlighten the eyes of Your beloved. For my heart is lost in weariness this day. I am tempted to give in to my own inclinations toward heaviness of spirit even though Your burden is light. Grant me the heavenly perspective that will enable me to witness the sunrise of salvation in the life of those that I love. Fight the battle for me, Lord, so that I may rest in the victory already procured by the cross. Remake the dented parts of my armor so that I can walk in security and confidence as I am clothed in Jesus Christ. Even as the night seasons linger long, may the hope of day enable me to press forward into the rays of Son light that You have given my eyes to see. Under the reminder of 1 Thessalonians 5:5-6 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I send these prayers into heaven’s glorious realm.

You are all children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness, so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.
1 Thessalonians 5:5-6, WEB
