Today’s Prayer 12/6

O God of my heart who knit me together with Your tender hands, holy is Your Name in all the earth. I will yet sing Your praises when the storms of life assail me. I will yet worship my Creator when misunderstanding and confusion hold me captive. For when I offered You the worst of me, You gave me the best of Yourself upon the cross. When I came to You in shattered pieces of selfish rebellion, You gave me the wholeness of Yourself in the sacrificial love of Your Son. In the abundant beauty of awesome grace, You struck down my broken ugliness. As Your glory spilled over, splashing onto my failures, You re-created me into a soul that bore a sliver of resemblance to Your image. May my heart burst forth with hallelujah for my God. The essence of my being will praise the Keeper of my soul as I stand in wonder of His grace. Bring me to the fullness of my call as Your image bearer, O God. In humble gratitude I share the desire of my heart in the intimacy of prayer. Under the Word of truth in Genesis 1:26 and the authority of Christ, these prayers are lifted high.

God said, “Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
