My God, my Master and my King, I come to You with the pieces of a shattered heart so that Your hands can skillfully mend the broken soul I have become without You. There is weakness that plagues me, but I find strength in You. There are storms that assail me, but I take refuge in You. There are trials that test me, but I find answers in You. Great is Your Holy Name, O Lord my God. Thin the worldly atmosphere around me until the heat of Your abundant love through Christ burns upon my soul. I invite the flames of divine love to devour all contaminants poisoning my heart away from You, God. Unclutter my mind so that my consciousness is united with the Holy Spirit. Refashion my essence to be one with You, Jesus. For my soul longs to live from the power of my heavenly citizenship while traversing the landscape of life in this world. Under the Word of Philippians 3:20-21 and the authority of Christ Jesus, these prayers I set at Your feet, O God whom I love.
For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is able even to subject all things to himself.
