When the fire of my faith has quieted down to embers within my soul, Father in heaven, let the wind of Your Holy Spirit fan those embers into flame again. Instill within me a deep desire to pursue righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ. Warm up the cold places in my heart with Your divine love. Let me not forsake all that You have given me in pursuit of lesser desires. You have everything I need. You are everything I want, Jesus. Remove from me my rebellious tendencies and my inclination toward deception. Ground me in the truth, Lord. The truth of Your Word are the coals upon which the fire of my faith burns. Burn bright within me, Jesus. Blaze the darkness out of me with the light of Your grace. With gratitude I bow before You, knowing that Your Kingdom cannot be shaken. Under the Word of truth in Hebrews 12:28-29 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray with burning conviction.
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken,
let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably
with reverence and awe,
for our God is a consuming fire.
