Father in heaven, soothe away my anxiety with the tender lullaby of Your Word singing over me. I consent to Your holy healing of my wounded and protesting heart. I lift the pain burning within me like a candle in the darkness until Your merciful light snuffs out its power over me. Let my self-affirming will be retired in order that the rooms of my soul are open to inviting You in. I do not fear exposure in Your presence because Your grace is my shield. I do not fear the wrath I deserve because Your love overpowers my punishment. O Lord, distill Your beautiful voice like a living mist upon my dry soul. Open my hears to hear the lyrics of holiness that You bathe me with until all of my inner inclinations that are less than good fall away into the abyss of nothingness. My purpose rests alone in You. My life is in Your hands. My times are Yours to command. I will ever find hope in You, Jesus, for You are the keeper of my heart. Under the Word of truth in Psalm 17:8 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
Keep me [in Your affectionate care, protect me] as the apple of Your eye;
Hide me in the [protective] shadow of Your wings.
Psalm 17:8, AMP
