My Lord, my God and my King, forgive Your child for the continuous search for more when I know that I have all that I need in You, Jesus. Help me to find sweet rest in the work You have finished upon the cross. For when my soul was parched by its own emptiness, You gave me to drink of the living water. When my spirit was starved for love, Your grace extended the bread of life. Let me end the chase that promises more but only takes me into the pit of deception. Lord, protect me from the enemy whose constant condemnation cools the fire of faith that burns within me. Turn me away from the deluge of discontent that snuffs out the light of life You have turned on inside of me. Jesus, You are enough. You are all that I need. You are my refuge, my shield, my hiding place, my all in all. I delight to be found by You. Under the mighty Word given in Psalm 32:6 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to You
at a time when You may be found;
surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him.
Psalm 32:6, ESV
