Father in heaven, I come to You for refuge when the storms of life are threatening. I come to You for replenishment when my soul is emptied and my heart is weary. I come to You when the mists of confusion cloud my mind with lies because only You can give me truth. I come to You when my weaknesses hinder me because in You my weaknesses become a testimony of strength to Your glory. My Lord, I come to You in the aftermath of bad choices to find the cleansing forgiveness of confession. I come to You when the trap of temptation is set before me because You provide me a way of escape. I come to You with the wounds inflicted by the enemy so that I can find healing. I come to You with the shattered pieces of my soul that only You can put back together. Jesus, I come to You in response to the incorruptible love You offer upon the cross. I come to You in a posture of humility because I am not worthy to receive all that You give. I come to You because You are my Savior, my Lord, my Creator, my everything. I come to You because You beckoned me. I come in answer to the call heard in my heart. Jesus, I come because I am Yours. Under the mighty Word of truth set down in Psalm 5:7 and the authority of Jesus Christ, I place these prayers upon the altar of the King.
But as for me,
in the abundance of Your loving kindness
I will come into Your house.
I will bow toward Your holy temple
in reverence of You.
