You are my God, my Father in heaven, whom my soul thirsts for daily. Quench my parched heart with the Living Water of Your presence, Jesus. You are my King who invites my hungry soul to the banquet table of grace. Feed the starvation caused by my own iniquity, Lord. Though I dwell in a land of empty promises, You are my promise-keeper. Though I live among those who do not know You, You have made Yourself known to me. I have seen the wonder of Your works in my life. I have felt the power of Your transforming Holy Spirit. Move me into the deep, Lord, where I can see more of You. Take me on the path that leads to eternity with You. There is no place that I would rather be. There is no thing that I long for more than worshiping You. Make Yourself known through this life. Lift Your child higher than the worldly concerns around me so that the weight of selfish inclination does not pull me out of Your mighty hand. Under the Word You have graciously given in Psalm 63:1-3 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray now and forever more.
You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek You;
I thirst for You, my whole being longs for You,
in a dry and parched land where there is no water.
I have seen You in the sanctuary
and beheld Your power and Your glory.
Because Your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify You.
