Purify my heart, O Lord. Cleanse my soul. I am in desperate need of Your healing. I recognize the work of Your mighty hands as the sun chases away the darkness of the night each morning. Make Your Son rise in my heart when darkness moves in. I marvel at the glory of Your omniscience when You answer unspoken prayers that have been dormant in my heart. There is none besides You, God. There is none who know the intricate working of my soul. Jesus, fix what is broken. Mend the open wounds so that I can be all You created me to be. Let me stand in the holy place where awareness of Your presence takes me into the deep. Wash me away with glimpses of Your majesty until I am cleansed of all iniquity. May I delight in You as I delight in nothing else. May I find satisfaction in You when my soul is starved for affection. Chase away the condemnation that troubles me, Lord. Reign in my being as You reign over the earth and all that is in it. Show me how to give You complete access. I am lost in my own mess without You, Jesus. Under the beautiful majesty of Your Word in Psalm 24:3-6 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
Who may climb the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in His holy place?
Only those whose hands and hearts are pure,
who do not worship idols
and never tell lies.
They will receive the Lord’s blessing
and have a right relationship with God their savior.
Such people may seek You
and worship in Your presence, O God of Jacob.
