Lord, my God, my soul is in need of increase. Take my faulty inconsistencies beneath the medicinal canopy of Your Word until I am fully healed. Let me not be shaken out of this resolve to pursue You above all other distractions in life. Turn me from the heavy weight of remorse that comes with reflection on the life I have lived up until now. I am grievously aware of the gravity of my mistakes and the selfish inclinations of my soul. I praise You because of the cleansing power of confession. I am far from perfect, but I know that You lead me upon the road toward perfection, Jesus. I am far from sinless, but I trust in the complete absolving work of the cross. Who am I that You would incline Your ear to the cries of my soul? I am a foolish child of God who has been persuaded whole-heartedly that my God is able to keep me, make me and show me with the grace of His perpetual touch. With the gifts You have bestowed upon me, Lord, let me serve You with devotion. Though I am far from complete, I rejoice that You will not abandon the work of Your hands. Under the power of Your Word in Philippians 1:4-6 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.
In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy
because of your partnership in the gospel
from the first day until now, being confident of this,
that He who began a good work in you will carry it on
to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
