My Lord, how can I fathom the riches of Your divine love? How can my heart lift up this debt of grateful adoration? Jesus, I thank You for blotting out my transgressions in Your book or remembrance. Who am I that You would remember me? Only You can finish what You have begun in me. Your divine sovereignty is the net of grace that caught me up from the snare of death. Though I have affronted You a thousand times, still You meet me with love’s embrace. Though I turned my back on You, still You pursued me with relentless affection. This vast amount of tenderness is indicative of Your mercy, my God. I remain humbled before You in my unworthiness to receive such a gift as Your beloved Son. Take me deeper into the mystery, Lord. Refine me into Your likeness so that I become a devoted ambassador of heaven’s glory. Make Your servant into the treasure that Your bestowed love created me to be. Under the blessed authority of Christ Jesus and the Word of Deuteronomy 7:6, I humbly pray.
For you are a people holy to the Lord your God.
The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people
for His treasured possession, out of all the peoples
who are on the face of the earth.
