My God, open the leaves of my shriveled heart to receive the showers of beautiful grace which You pour down from heaven. Let my thirsty soul drink deeply of the Word so that I may be fully satisfied. With the breath of Your Holy Spirit blow away the dark clouds of distracting selfishness so that my eyes are fixed once again on the bright light of Christ. Your hand of mercy preserves me through life. The divine blessing of Your presence nourishes my being. May the wisdom from above fall like drops of heaven into my mind, guiding my thoughts until they are captive to Christ alone. Under the power Your Word in 2 Corinthians 10:5 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.
