Today’s Prayer

In the beauty of the faith given me, I fully rely on You, Jesus. In the mercy of the bestowed Spirit of God, I embrace oneness with my Creator. Lord, help me to be troubled for nothing this world offers. Teach me to cast my anxiety upon You. For my life is a vapor and my soul longs for eternity in Your Kingdom. Let me not trust in myself for anything. You, alone, are trustworthy. Let me not succumb to the pressure of everyday care when You supply all that I need if only I seek Your Kingdom and Your righteousness. My King, embrace my heart with love incorruptible so that I can resist the temptation to chase after other gods which entice my insecurities. You know me, Lord. The intricacies of my being are revealed to You and only You. The essence of my soul is revealed in naked vulnerability beneath Your merciful salvation. Keep me hidden within the shadow of the cross. Lord Jesus, You are my protector. You are my defender. You are the One who has captured my soul. My heart delights in You and only You. Under the mighty Word of truth given in Psalm 51:6-7 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being,
And in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom.
Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Psalm 51:6-7, NASB

  1. Let me not trust in myself for anything. You, alone, are trustworthy. Let me not succumb to the pressure of everyday care when You supply all that I need if only I seek Your Kingdom and Your righteousness–this is so important–we need to trust in Him rather than in ourselves–
