What a beautiful sacrifice was made on my behalf. My soul listens intently for the caressing whisper of Your love from the cross. Is there anything more worthy to be heard than those words of cleansing forgiveness as they fell off Your bloody lips – “It is finished” ? Are there any other words which my soul longs to hear than those which will resonate from the heart of my Savior when He calls me home to say, “Well done, My good and faithful servant” ? My Lord, only You can quiet my inner voice that disrupts the tranquility of my soul. Only You can separate me from the chaos of this world’s noise so that I can rest in the serenity of prayerful communion. I gladly stand speechless before my accuser knowing that You are the defender of my heart. In the quiet of Christ, there is power. In the silence of salvation, there is peace. Lord, I surrender all need to vocalize objections or offense. May every Word I speak bring glory to my King. May every word withheld further Your Kingdom purpose. Under the Word of Matthew 25:21 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little;
I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
Matthew 25:21, ESV
My Lord, only You can quiet my inner voice that disrupts the tranquility of my soul. Only You can separate me from the chaos of this world’s noise so that I can rest in the serenity of prayerful communion–Amen!
