Today’s Prayer

My blessed Lord, I seek You for sheltering. I do not wish for the serpent to beguile me with the temptations that tantalize me in my weakness. Rather, I desire to abide in the vine so that the fruit produced is worthy of Your Kingdom. Jesus, I have set You high in my heart. Upon its throne, You alone shall sit. Though the enemy entices me with lesser gods, let me find strength in Your Spirit to resist his lies. Let my soul bellow praises and my being root itself in Your truth. Your love is amazing and divine though my own is inadequately given. Thank You, God, for Your power of regeneration that has taken a poor creature and made me rich. May I honor You with my life. May I worship You with my breath. Into the shelter of Your beautiful love, I find peace. Under the message of Your Word in Psalm 146:1-2 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord, O my soul!
I will praise the Lord as long as I live;
    I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
Psalm 146:1-2, ESV
