Lord, my God, let me leave all worldliness behind me. Free me from the confines of time so that I can come when You call. Jesus, awaken my sleepy heart from its melancholy slumber and distracted malaise. Raise me up out of the pit of lesser love, base desire, fruitless pursuit and meaningless motivations. Draw me to Yourself with the magnetic pull of Your Holy Spirit until I no longer linger within the dull atmosphere of physicality. Let my spirit come alive within me, free of self-awareness, sinful desires and all unrighteousness. As I heed Your invitation to step off the cliff of comfort and fall into the mystery of the divine, let me trust in Your mighty arms to save me. Only You can finally untangle me from the briars of life which have held me captive. Only You can lead me to the wide open space when the wilderness of my vanity has caused me to lose my way. In the power of Your grace, make me new, Lord. Ignite the embers of holy love in my heart until my faith burns for Your glory. Under the Word given in Song of Solomon 2:10-12 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
