Father in heaven, my eyes turn to You in hopeful prayer. Your promised reassurance is what this soul needs. The world is mired with tribulation, but I can take heart because You have overcome the world, Jesus. You are pure and holy. Lord, impart Your purity to me so that I am shielded from the tainting influences of the corruption that swirls around me. Conforming to Your image comes with such challenges because my rebellious nature is not entirely subdued. Only the power of Your Spirit can rid me of my corruptions. Only the daily admission to Your presence can unravel the web of lies that tricks me into faulty thinking. God, You are the victor against my enemy. You are the commander that leads me into the battle where victory is assured. Teach me how to extend Your love toward this world without becoming a part of it, without loving it to the point of becoming an enemy of You. Father, I ambushed by unsavory emotions. I am attacked by condemnation. Observe the inner workings of my heart and sync its rhythm with Yours. My Savior, whisper to my ears the truth I long for as I listen to You with hopeful prayer. Under the sweetness of Your Word in Ephesians 1:15-18 and the authority of Christ, I humbly bow in prayer.

For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus
and your love toward all the saints,
I do not cease to give thanks for you,
remembering you in my prayers,
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him,  having the eyes of your hearts enlightened,
that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you,
what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints.
