Lord God Almighty, You are the author and finisher of my faith. Only You can perfect me by completing me in Christ Jesus. Move my hesitant feet to follow You through the fields of my fears. Only You can equip me to fight the holy war against Your enemies. Father, remind me in my forgetfulness that I am not strong enough to maintain the combat without You. I need You, Jesus. I have to be by Your side, not abandoning the post where You have stationed me for this season of life. God, finish my faith beneath the majesty of Your truth. Teach me after every misstep. Humble me after every failure. Brace my heart with diligence and caution in respect to this world but sweet abandon when it comes to You. Root my soulful resolutions in divine love so that my life offers You no offense. God, shield me from deceptive philosophies that might sway me from the borders of Your Word. Keep my thoughts pure in Your Spirit, Lord, so that I am not betrayed into the hands of the enemy. Inspire me to fight the good fight opposing everything that eclipses the glory of heaven. May the assaults of earthly life and the ravages of hell not hinder the faithful growth You have blessed me with. You are my only way, Jesus. Under the Word of truth in John 14:6-7 and the authority of Christ I bow in humble prayer.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. 
No one comes to the Father except through Me.  
If you really know Me, you will know my Father as well. 
From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him.”
