Lord, my affections, as insufficient and tattered as they are, find sufficiency and wholeness in You. With sweet anticipation I wait for the great exchange when this mortal body will be made imperishable and everlasting joy will replace the heavy burden of sorrow which has weighted my soul. Set the course of my life in perpetual motion toward the eternal delight of rewarded faith. Only You can complete the hope that sustains me in this world. Only You can bring fulfillment to all Your promises. Let my soul cling to You, my Savior. Make this walk steadfast in holiness. For Your amazing promises are my foundation of trust. Your unerring Word is my canopy of refuge in daily storms. Bring me to the peaceful rest of enjoyment in You, Jesus. With You I am safe. With You I am infinitely satisfied by faith that blooms in love. Under the Word given in John 6:35 and the authority of Christ Jesus I pray.
