Today’s Prayer

Father, how sweet and tender is Your presence in my life. With such diversity You have shown me love intertwined with grace. Your invitation to the sacred garden of prayer has been my rest. You have washed me in the blood of Your Son and given me a taste of the water of life, the Living Water of Christ. Forgive me for ever finding pleasure in the muddy waters of this world. True joy is found in my relationship with You. Though I often wander from Your protective embrace, Your mighty arm still reaches for me to pull me back into the space where I belong. Dazzle me with the sight of faith that blinds me to any lingering infatuation with this world. In You there are glimpses of heaven. Your Word is the sustenance my soul craves. You have turned my mischievous self-seeking heart into a heart of contented love. All that came before You in my life Jesus is nothing but bitterness to my taste. Let me remain forever with You that I may eat of the abundance of the inheritance granted in Christ and drink of the sweet wine of our eternal covenant. With great anticipation I await the wedding supper of the Lamb. Under the Word of truth in Revelation 19:6-9 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.

Then I heard something like the voice of a vast multitude, like the sound of cascading waters, and like the rumbling of loud thunder, saying:
Hallelujah, because our Lord God, the Almighty,
has begun to reign!
Let us be glad, rejoice, and give Him glory,
because the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and His wife has prepared herself.
She was given fine linen to wear, bright and pure.
For the fine linen represents the righteous acts of the saints.
Then he said to me, “Write: Those invited to the marriage feast of the Lamb are fortunate!”
He also said to me, “These words of God are true.”
