Today’s Prayer

O LORD, my God, please quiet me with Your love and take delight in me. By Your grace grant me a pure and lovely heart. Let my spirit be restored by Your presence that I may rejoice in Your salvation. For You, alone, are my hope and my encouragement. My strength is found when I am near You. Jesus, You are my Savior, my Pasture Maker, who cleanses me and washes me with pure water so that I may draw near to my God. For it is the faith You have given me that drives out all fear and replaces it with power. I am so thankful to You that I am justified and cannot be separated from Your love through trouble or hardship. O God, enable the feet of my heart to keep in step with Your Spirit. Though troubles may come upon me, I will have no fear for You have overcome the world’s troubles. Let me not be mastered by anything that would hinder Your holiness in me. For I know, O LORD, that I belong to You. For I believe that Your grace is what has made me whole. Though the powers of darkness threaten me, You have given me the light of Your Word to cling to in the midst of battle. So I can stand firm knowing that it is Your love that has set me free. I will stand firm, serving You in love so that I will not be enslaved by darkness. O LORD, how I desire to please Your Spirit so that I may know You better. How I long to bear fruit in every good work and grow in my love and adoration for You. Help me to set my mind on Your Kingdom and to pursue Your glory. Strengthen me with power in my soul and let my faith bind my heart to You in love that is beyond my understanding. For my desire is to be empty so that I can live with the fullness of my God! Under the Word given in Psalm 51:1-2, 10-11 and the authority of Christ I pray.

Have mercy on me, God, according to Your loving kindness. According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity. Cleanse me from my sin. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. Don’t throw me from Your presence, and don’t take Your Holy Spirit from me.
